We’re looking for an experienced plastic fabricator to join our busy team in Little Hulton. This permanent, full-time role will see you working on everything from our standard fan ranges to high value, one-off specialist projects. As the fabrications side of our business grows, there will be opportunities for progression.
The role involves setting out, cutting, folding and welding plastic sheets such as PP, PVC and PVDF. Most of APMG’s fabrication work is carried out using hand tools such as Leister welding torch, jigsaw, angle grinder, etc.
The products we fabricate include fan cases, fume scrubbers, tanks, rectangular ductwork, large-diameter circular ductwork, transition sections and more. Experience in this type of work is preferred, however, ongoing training is provided.
Hand welding ability and pattern development would be an advantage, as would the experience of GRP.
*Please note that our work is very different from fabricating uPVC window frames and we are looking for experience other than window manufacture.
